We are also allowed to draw up a legal and binding contract of purchase, however, it is entirely up to you if you wish to have this drawn up by a soclitor.
All persons from European countries are allowed to buy and own property in Turkey.
You do not need a residence permit to buy real estate in Turkey and buying does not automatically grant you one. You will need to apply separately and this takes around one week to complete.
If you are giving power of attorney to anyone to sell a property on your behalf, a legal translator must be present to ensure you are of sound mind and have fully understood the facts as laid out in the document.
If you plan on buying land in Turkey to build on, you must submit the relevant plans for the project, within 2 years of purchase.
